Jason Znoy serves as President of the Chicago CPCU Society Chapter, bringing a people first leadership approach grounded in technical excellence, curiosity, and service to the profession. With deep experience in complex and professional liability claims, Jason is passionate about ethical decision making, mentorship, and advancing the public trust in the insurance industry.
Jason is particularly focused on creating meaningful engagement pathways for professionals at every career stage. He views the CPCU designation as more than a credential; it is a launchpad for leadership, community impact, and lifelong learning. He is energized by building inclusive environments where collaboration, learning, and professional growth can thrive.
Jason began his career at a mid market insurance brokerage and agency in Chicago before transitioning into third party administration. He currently serves as a risk and litigation advisor at Sedgwick, where he supports a diverse client portfolio that includes Target, Amazon, Google, AT&T, 7 Eleven, Petco, Walgreens, and Whataburger.
In addition to his role with CPCU Chicago, Jason is actively involved in industry leadership and service, including:

Outside of work, Jason enjoys travel, outdoor activities, continuous personal development, and spending time with his dogs.
Jason earned the CPCU designation in 2016 and served the Chicago board since 2024.

Julia received her CPCU designation in 2023 and quickly joined the CPCU Society Chicago Chapter Board. Having graduated from Illinois State University with majors in Mathematics and English, Julia is happy to have found her home in the insurance industry with a role that bridges her love of logic and problem-solving with the art of communication. Julia currently works as a Public Entity Underwriter at Liberty Mutual where she writes all lines of business across property, casualty, and professional lines for schools and universities.

Sean has completed his CPCU in 2016 and previously served on the Chicago West CPCU board. Ann is a Senior Underwriting Manager with Liberty Mutual Insurance. Ann has 9+ years of experience in underwriting, in Middle Market and Public Entity. Ann obtained her CPCU in 2016 and has been an active member of the Charlotte CPCU Society and Chicago CPCU Society.

Michael Kuiken serves as Secretary of the Chicago CPCU Society Chapter, bringing precision, clarity, and governance expertise to the board. As an attorney focused on complex insurance coverage matters and commercial litigation, Michael applies a structured, solutions-oriented mindset to organizational leadership.
He is deeply committed to professional ethics, knowledge-sharing, and ensuring board initiatives are transparent and well communicated to members. Michael views the CPCU Society as a vital connector between technical excellence and principled leadership.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, networking, and attending sporting events and concerts.
MIchael earned the CPCU designation in 2021.

Peter Carlson serves as a Director for the Chicago CPCU Society Chapter, bringing a strong commitment to leadership development and education. At Travelers, he combines analytical insight with relationship driven underwriting experience.
Peter is passionate about building inclusive professional communities and creating learning opportunities that feel accessible and impactful. He believes strong networks elevate both individual careers and the industry as a whole.
Outside of work, Peter enjoys community involvement, mentoring, and staying active in professional organizations.

Valerio is a Insurance Operations Leader with Venbrook Valerio has over 15+ years working with Multi-National Insurance Carriers, in the P&C and Accident & Health areas, leading the application of Lean/Six Sigma principles, Data Analysis and implementing new technologies to streamline claims processes.
Valerio obtained his CPCU in 2015 and has been an active member of the Central Florida CPCU Society Chapter in the past.
